STATEMENT OF POLICY
Company’s policy for equal opportunities is to comply with all legislation dealing with discrimination and follow the code of practice issued to support this legislation. The company will keep abreast of all amendments and will abide by it. It will stay committed to equal opportunities.

It will follow the following Acts:

  1. Race Relation Act 1976
  2. Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (as amended)
  3. The Equal Pay Act 1970
  4. The Disability Discrimination Act 1995

CCEOP will abide by The Commission for Racial Equity (CRE)
All forms of discrimination would be banned:

  1. There shall be no Direct Discrimination – against people due to their race, age, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, belief or any issue, regarding employment, political or social. No one would be treated less favourably than others because of their race.
  2. There shall be no Indirect Discrimination – against people, due to their race, age, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, belief or any issue, regarding employment, political or social. No policy or practice would be applied equally to every one but that which has a negative effect on a particular racial group.
  3. There shall be no Victimization – against someone who has made a complaint.
  4. There shall be no Harassment – against any one; no one would be intimidated or degraded. No threatening remarks verbal or written would be used. All would be respected and there would be no form of humiliation.

Discrimination in all areas would be prohibited according to the policy of The Race Relation Act 1976:

  1. Employment: Every one would be given equal opportunities to apply.
  2. No Discrimination in job conditions and terms of employment: Everyone would be allowed to apply and there will be no discrimination of any form and refusing to offer employment due to their race. All employees would have access to opportunities for promotion, transfer or training, or to any other benefits.  All will have access to facilities or services and no one would be refused of any available benefits offered by the company. No one would be dismissed without reason and the company procedure would be followed, depending upon any breach in ‘Employee’s Job Requirement’. There will be no harassment in any form. Every one would have the right of equal pay, training, and employment.
  3. Instructions to others and Advertisements: There shall be no discriminatory advertisements and no other staff or recruitment agencies would be instructed to place discriminatory advertisements.
  4. Training: No one would be refused training discriminately. Everyone will be able to avail trainings, induction courses and any trainings and facilities provided by the company. There would be no racial discrimination against a person requesting for the trainings, benefits, sick leave, study leave or other facilities. The company will abide by law and apply all statutes to recruitment.
